Wheelbarrow has been creating gardens across Cornwall since 2006. Founded by Darren Hawkes, the company quickly earned a reputation for craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a deep respect for the landscape.
In 2017, James Ricks joined as Contracts Manager, bringing fresh energy and a clear vision for growth. Under his leadership, the business has continued to evolve taking on more ambitious projects while staying true to its roots.
Now, in 2025, James leads Wheelbarrow as owner, committed to delivering the same high-quality service that clients have come to trust. From ongoing maintenance to full-scale garden builds, we’re proud to shape and sustain beautiful outdoor spaces that thrive.
